…and an historical reprint of the 1869 edition of George Marsh’s Man and Nature. Marsh’s classic is generally accepted to be the first work to challenge the idea that man does not corrupt and change the environment and is ranked along with Darwin’s Origin of Species as one of the most influential and important texts of its time.
