The results are in, the winners have been noted, and now all (well, almost all) may be revealed…
The Book: The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins
An international bestseller and staff favorite, we chose The Hunger Games for its appeal to all age groups, the recent popularity of dystopian literature, and the book’s ties to WNC (they are filming the movie adaptation in the area).

Congratulations to all our winners and many many thanks to the entire HCC community for helping make our first-ever contest such a huge success. We enjoyed hearing updates from people as they tried to solve the mystery and appreciated the determination of those who saw us around campus and petitioned for extra clues. It was great fun to plan and Clyde will definitely return sometime in the future, so keep an eye out.
The LRC would also like to thank the following people for their efforts:
Annemarie Timmerman, for helping us keep faculty and students informed about the event
Debbie Carpenter, for allowing us space on the HCC sign
Gerry Kelly and the HCC bookclub, for their enthusiastic participation and help in promotion
Virginia McKinley & Malaprop’s Bookstore/Cafe, for donating some of our fabulous book prizes
Curious about the clues? Check back with us next week when we post “Clyde’s Clues Revealed,” a clue-by-clue breakdown of all of the hints.
